Cards for Troops

I'm excited to be helping my good friend Suzanne make cards for her husband to distribute among his fellow soldiers for them to send home to loved ones while they are out on active duty.

Here are some of the cards that I have come up with.  If you are interested in helping and want to get more information, please email me and I will help you get the information you need to help with this fantastic cause!

June 26th is Girls Night Out!

Come Saturday, June 21st from 5:00-10:00pm and work on whatever YOU want! 

You can bring scrapping or card projects that you are currently working on, or choose a new kit to begin.  Check out the other posts on this blog if you would like to choose a kit from a previous GNO.

If you are interested in making a super cute "recipe" box, you can pay a $7.00 workshop fee, and I will have the box and LOTS of choices of paper to create your own box.  You can use them to hold your handmade cards, treasures, or the NEW Cherry-O Recipe Card kit (you can pre-order it, or order it at the GNO that night).  This is a great little deal, as the box itself (which is awesome) has a retail price of $6.95.

By RSVPing (before June 21st) you agree to come, have fun, and place a $25 order that night.

April 2nd Girls Night Out

April's layout and card will be using the Top Stitch Workshop kit. Everything you need to make 2 layouts, and 6 cards! We will make this layout and a fun card to match.

March 5th Girls Night Out

Friday, March 5th, 7:00-9:30pm

March's layout and cards will be using the Caboodle Workshop kit. We will make this layout and a card. (Layout can be very girly too!) You will have instructions and supplies to go home and make another layout and 5-6 more cards!

Workshop fee will be $29.95 (plus s/h & tax: $34.35) and will be due by February 26th.

Meal Planner

Thursday, January 21st, 7:00-9:30pm

This meal planner is a great way to stay organized, and keep track of all of your favorite dishes. You will be able to choose ANY paper from my stamp room, and create a personalized meal planner for your home!

Come prepared with 15-30 of your family's favorite dishes and their key (not in your cupboard) ingredients. We will assemble the calendar, then you can make cards for each dish, and you will be up and running for dinner for a month. After the month is over, you can plan out another month. If you have more recipes you want to add in--no problem! You will have plenty of extra cards for the recipes.

On the front is the name of the dish, the back is the key shopping ingredients. Just use Plasti-tack to stick them on to the sheet protector and use the cards over and over. When you are ready to go shopping, just pull them off, flip them over, and make your list.

It's easy to check each morning, so you can start the crock pot, or begin thawing the meat, or anything else necessary, so you aren't in a crunch at dinner time!

I will have several of my favorite recipes to share (if you want to add them to your collection) and I am asking that each person that comes, brings one copy of 2 different (complete) recipes to share. You could go home with lots of great new ideas for dinner!

The workshop fee for each Meal Planner is just $10.00. And remember, it's fully customizeable! Please sign up and pay before MONDAY, January 18th (no school that day!), to reserve your spot on Thursday, January 21st.
